No.9 IN SERVICE FROM THE ARCHIVES

Some views from the Supporters' Association archives showing No.9 Douglas in service prior to withdrawal from traffic in 1953.  The locomotive retained her Salter safety valves until the end of her career and carried worksplates on the rear portion of the tanks in common with her elder sister No.8 Fenella, both with sloping smokeboxes.
